Does anyone know anything about the GPS?
If so, which means: "Garmin ® GPS receivers are accurate to 15 meters in average. More Garmin's latest GPS receivers with WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) capability can improve accuracy within three meters on average, "an accuracy of 15 meters?" What does that mean? and instant messaging even more confused when, WAAS, the "capability can improve accuracy of within 3 meters on average."? I'm confused … any help is much appreciated!
GPS works by calculating your position based positioning satellite signals received for your GPS receiver. There are inherent inaccuracies in the calculations, but as the number of satellite signals that can receive the signal and other factors, the imprecise can be reduced. The GPS calculates your position and the report as a certain latitude and longitude. When the screen says "with an accuracy of 15 meters", it means your position it has calculated is less than 15 meters of the exact place to be given by latitude and longitude, he said. WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) has nothing to do with a view of the map as one respondent said. WAAS is a system that was developed by the FAA to improve the accuracy of GPS to the aircraft may use GPS for all phases of their flight, including precision approach. WAAS works by measuring inaccuracy in GPS signals, calculate a correction factor and transmit a satellite WAAS. Your GPS receiver is then the GPS signals, calculates its position, then takes the signal and corrects the WAAS GPS calculations, you just made, then shows the results. In a GPS consumers get within 3 meters of accuracy, you must have WAAS.
